Job description
SGI Global is seeking a Logistics Specialist to provide facility and security support to the Threat Screening Center. The position requires a Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to attain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
**This position is contingent upon contract award**
Responsibilities
- Access to unclassified, secret, TS, and TS/SCI systems and information required for the performance of duties.
- Operate the facility's large stock room of office supplies and equipment. Organize and control the inventory, while complying with government requirements and procedures.
- Perform inventory transactions with other government and contractor personnel
- Keep inventory control records complete and accurate, utilizing both the government's asset management applications and ad-hoc tools.
- Execute the shipping and receiving of products and materials to and from the facility. Schedule deliveries and track the progress from sender to recipient.
- Execute troubleshooting of shipping and receiving problems.
- Participate in loading dock operations.
- Execute and produce supply orders with government procurement personnel to ensure supplies do not run out and are adequately stocked at all times.
- Produce reporting and audits requested by the government.
- Conduct annual and on-demand asset inventory activities with government personnel. This duty will require SCI access.
- Address logistics related tickets as they enter the queue, ensure that ticketing queue is maintained and that tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
- Document project and/or assignment daily status in the work tracking database.
- Escort outside vendors that provide support coordinated by the Facilities Office.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires Top Secret SCI clearance.
- Two (2) years of experience.
- Proficiency in operating a large office stock room, inventory control procedures, and asset management computer applications.
- Experience and required certifications for operating materials handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain working relationships with general office staff, leadership, technical staff, and the operation and maintenance (O&M) workforce.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and responsible.
- Must excel in a collaborative environment as a team member or team leader with other government and contractor personnel throughout the facility.
- Experience utilizing work ticket systems to track requests and problems.
- Able to lift fifty (50) pounds.
