The Loss Prevention Manager manages the security/safety of employees and customers, and the protection of the Company's assets.
The LP Manager institutes remedial programs to prevent loss and reduce the Company's exposure to claims, identifies areas of loss and potential loss of revenue or physical assets, develops, recommends, and implements corporate loss prevention and security /safety procedures for the US and Canada, and develops programs and procedures to promote a secure and safe work environment.
What you will do:
Develops programs and procedures to promote a secure and safe work environment. Partners with Security, Legal, HR, and Operations management to determine the most appropriate courses of action, communicate programs and direct the training of employees, as necessary.
Manages the effectiveness of security and loss prevention programs, and ensures compliance with mandatory federal, state and local laws.
Manages internal investigations related to loss prevention and related violations of company policy in designated area. May be asked to testify in court on the company’s behalf.
Analyzes Missing and overdue vehicle reports. Develops remedial programs to mitigate loss of revenue and loss of physical assets.
Represents the Company on law enforcement related projects related to security and loss prevention across the US and Canada. Provides authorization to legal authorities in order to issue warrants and place alarms on vehicles. Following return of vehicle, ensures alarms removed from vehicle prior to next rental.
Serves as liaison between the Company and US/Canadian legal authorities on various projects including sharing stolen/missing vehicle information with Canadian law enforcement and partnering with the US National Insurance Crime Bureau.
Serves as speaker to national organizations/conferences related to theft or fraud.
Performs skip tracing services for overdue renters.
Manages the ‘do not rent’ system for the organization.
Will be required to take lead role in response to significant safety threats including but not limited to bomb threats, medical emergencies, etc. at any location.
Liaise with local security teams to insure timely recovery of ABG vehicles
Identify operational process improvement opportunities
Leads relationships with external vendors that provide tow service, repossession of vehicles and others
Drive P&L improvement
Ensures proper staffing and the use of overtime hours to maximize the effectiveness of the Security function.
Conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports, recommends salary increases, provides individual feedback to improve performance, and initiates corrective action in response to personnel problems.
Reviews and approves salary increases for indirect reports.
Oversees the training of new employees to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the organization’s standards. The manager will have direct oversight of 4-6 Loss Prevention Supervisors.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years in loss prevention/law enforcement/security
Minimum of one year supervisory experience
Ability to navigate through Tableau workbooks
Skills and abilities you should have:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong PC skills.
Advanced knowledge of criminal investigation procedures.
