• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
  • Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in a dynamic environment.
  • Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures.
  • Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens.
  • Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests.
  • May perform venipuncture.
• Medical Assistant (MA)
  • Responsible for patient care under the direct supervision (in the office suite or exam room) of a Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Escorts patient to the exam room and prepares patient for the exam including vital stats, history, and reason for seeking care.
  • Cross trains in data entry, balancing of accounts, charge fees and collect payments due Schedules/confirms appointments.
  • Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens.
  • Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests.
  • May perform venipuncture.

• LPN Candidates
  • Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program and High school or Equivalent
  • Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
• MA Candidates
  • High School or Equivalent
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Must meet one of the following three criteria:
    • Has attended an accredited Medical Assistant training program by one of the following:
      • The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
    • If your Medical Assistant program was not accredited, you must have a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following:
      • NHA - CCMA
      • AMT - RMA
      • AAMA - CMA
      • NCCT - NCMA
      • NAHP -NRCMA
    • Has completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States.

• Experience: One or more years experience as a LPN or Medical Assistant in clinical outpatient setting

• Exposure Category I: Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances; possible exposure to hostile individuals

• Able to distinguish appropriate colors, consistently reaching and/or working above and below shoulder level lifting up to 50 pounds, walking or being on feet 90% of time per day with frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, standing, sitting at desk 10% of the time per day; and communicating using telephone
