This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate that is looking for career progression. The candidate hired will be the assumed succession candidate for the agency Administrator/Director of Operations. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, this individual is responsible for organizing and coordinating duties and processes to ensure agency operations run smoothly. In addition to oversight of caregivers, this position manages client billing and employee payroll and provides general human resource functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school graduate; LPN or bachelor’s in nursing, social work, health sciences, preferred.

· Two years of experience in home care, home health or related field preferred.

· Passionate about helping others live with dignity.

· Must present a positive and professional business image.

· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact effectively with a diverse audience including clients, families, care providers and other professionals.

· Must possess impeccable follow up and attention to detail and be able to exercise initiative, problem solve, apply sound judgment.

· Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures.

· Knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles.

· Knowledge of human resource management practices and procedures.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, data entry, and word processing.

· Able to exercise initiative, problem solve and apply sound judgment.

· Must be a highly organized multi-tasker who excels at working in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Care Management

· Supervise client care provided by agency personnel to ensure:

· Caregivers review the client’s care plan prior to service provision and whenever there is a change in the care plan.

· Caregivers comply with the care plan.

· Caregivers implement proper infection control practices.

· Caregivers observe, recognize and immediately report changes in the client’s service needs or condition.

· Caregivers are familiar with and implement emergency procedures for clients.

· Caregivers possess the necessary skills required for service needs.

· All necessary supplies and equipment are available on-site for safe client care.

· Provided services fall within the scope of the agency’s license.

OFFICE OPERATIONS

  • Oversee general office operations to ensure efficiency of systems, procedures and workflow, adherence to policies and regulations, and a safe and secure working environment.
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage during all business hours.
  • Monitor recordkeeping processes and procedures; ensure physical and electronic filing systems are maintained and current.
  • Process client payments and reconcile accounts.

· Enter, maintain and correct financial data in the required accounting and/or management systems.

HUMAN RESOURCES

· Recruit, interview, select, onboard and train new staff.

· Conduct personnel performance evaluations, disciplinary meetings and terminations with input and feedback from Operations Director.

· Oversee management of all personnel files in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency policy, ensuring confidentiality and limited access to sensitive information.

· Manage internal staff relations and company communications.

· Update employee forms, notices and manuals in accordance with changing regulations and/or company policies and procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports directly to the Director of Operations
