JOB TITLE - CNC Operator

PAY RATE - $20/hr

** Hired on after 1 Month. Pay increased once permanent. **

LOCATION:

York Pennsylvania 17406

SHIFT:

• 1 st Shift- 5:45AM-2:15PM | Monday-Friday
  

POSITION SUMMARY-

The Machine Operator assists with the setup, calibration, and operation of machines/ CNC Machines in the production processes. This role inspects machine operations and finished product against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools and determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions.

• Machine operating experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience to be adequate in operating CNC machines.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

• Operating various hand and power tools and/or operating equipment to meet production schedules.
• Performing preventative maintenance on production machinery
• Operates various equipment to meet production and business needs.
• Unloads parts and inspects for quality and performs equipment set-up.
• Maintains stock of material and machine parts for equipment.
• Determine parts to be manufactured based upon production, orders, and stock.
• Observes and maintains machinery operation to detect and identify defects or malfunctions.
• Setting up and checking products to confirm if they meet specifications
• Ensuring parts and assemblies meet production specifications, completing inspections on equipment, products both during and upon finishing.
• Performing end of shift cleaning and maintenance on equipment.
• Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch
• Follows all safety procedures, aware of potential safety hazards.
• Maintains a clean warehouse/ shop housekeeping,
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of previous machine operating experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
• Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly/Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear, and see.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is & or may be regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, extreme cold & heat.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be high.
