Job description

Express Employment is looking for multiple Machine Operators and Welders (MIG) to manufacture parts for various vehicles and farm equipment. The Machine Operator position requires no experience as long as you are reliable and willing to learn. Welders (MIG) do require workforce experience.

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate machines safely and efficiently to complete one or more processes toward the manufacture/assembly of exhaust components to customer specifications
• Perform as an active/contributing team member by supporting and performing all the tasks within a cell group
• Setup and operation of machinery on the production floor
• Assembles, labels, packages, and performs quality checks on products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following blueprints and diagrams
• Operates hand tools, power tools, and production equipment
• Setup/Operators must assist and train machine operators in the performance of their jobs
• Frequently lift/carry up to 30lbs

Welder (MIG) Responsibilities:

• Performs welding of metal objects using a gas shielded welder
• Perform as an active/contributing team member by supporting and performing all the tasks within a cell group
• Work involves accomplishing welding that fuses similar or different metals and withstands great strength demands while avoiding distortion using proper MIG welding techniques
• Check that blueprint is the appropriate one for the job
• Identify and weld the proper components according to the print
• Check first completed piece thoroughly and record on job card
• Record hourly quality checks on the job card
• Communicate production amounts to supervisor at end of the shift
• Tag containers to identify product
• Utilize hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and clamps for welding job

Schedule/Pay:

Ability to work frequent overtime, including extended daily shifts,Saturdays, and/or Sunday. Pay starts at $17.40 for Machine Operators and $21.92 for Welders.

1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm

2nd Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm

3rd Shift: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am

We have orientation 1 time per week and can get you started immediately.
