Position Summary
Our Quick Coupling Division in Chetek is looking for new Machinist - Automatics Operator team members to help keep the world moving. You will use your hands and machines to build Parker couplings in a safe and sustainable manner. You will produce precision parts using automated equipment and accurate measurements. A great machinist needs an eye for detail.

What Is a Quick Coupling?
Parker’s Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings in the world. A quick coupling is used to provide a fast, make-or-break connection of fluid or gas transfer lines. Our Chetek plant provides critical equipment for many different industries including Agriculture, Construction, and Fire & Rescue teams.

Aspects of Your Work

• Proficiently operate machines by loading and unloading parts in the machine
• Read and interpret assembly drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
• Effectively gauge and measure parts produced for quality assurance
• Perform routine machine maintenance. Identify when tooling needs replaced and change tooling effectively
• Work safely and bring safety issues forward
• Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor
  
  Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to stand for most of the shift, and lift up to 35 pounds.

  Four 10s - 3:00 P.M. to 1:00 AM
