Job Title: Maintenance Associate
Reports to: Maintenance Director
Location:San Pedro Parish | North Port, FL
Overview:
San Pedro Parish is looking for a part-time Maintenance Associate, 25 hours a week, to assist with general cleaning and maintenance of the Parish buildings and property. This position is eligible for paid time off and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hands on cleaning and maintenance of buildings and grounds
- Set up and break down for events and meetings
- Cleaning, sweeping, sanitizing, etc.
- Adhere to proper cleaning methods, storage, and proper care of equipment and supplies
- Operate small power equipment such as floor cleaning equipment, golf cart, weed eaters, pressure washer, etc.
- Landscape and grounds maintenance, equipment & golf cart maintenance
- Other duties as directed by San Pedro Parish.
Requirements:
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently
- Need to have basic maintenance skills
- Work in varying temperatures and climates
- Physically capable of climbing ladders in a safe manner
- Familiarity and experience using typical work tools, lawn mower, hedge trimmers etc.
- Safely lift up to 50 lbs. and, on a regular, basis, climb ladders, bend, kneel, etc.
- Use of electronic communication (computer, laptop, ipad)
- Ability to help out on a weekend for special events if necessary
- Must pass background check
