General Statement of Job

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of duties associated with issuing and tracking property, maintenance work orders; and performs related duties as assigned.

Essential Duties:

Generate work orders as well as perform data entry and retrieval of information such as client files, maintenance work orders, vehicle maintenance data, new and used appliance information or other data depending on area of assignment.

Close work orders upon completion and performs requisite data entry to maintain accurate records of completed work.

Maintain computerized or manual data files, generate reports as needed or requested; e.g., weekly vacancy report.

Answer multiple phone lines and respond to caller questions or direct the call to the appropriate party.

Operate a two-way phone; dispatch work assignments to employees in the field.

Ensure emergency work orders are assigned to the appropriate staff member(s).

Prepare correspondence, memos, reports, and letters using computerized application software and in some cases manual typewriter.

Perform a variety of clerical tasks in support of business operations as assigned.

Respond to requests for information from the public, residents or other departments.

Perform other duties as apparent or assigned.

Education, Experience, and Licenses

A High School Diploma or GED and at least one (1) year of clerical or administrative support experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Possession of a valid Florida driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of warehousing techniques.
  • Knowledge of the proper use of computers and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of standard warehouse or stockroom practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
  • Skill in using computer and basic application software used in warehouse or stockroom operations.
  • Skill in using common office machinery and equipment.
  • Skill in mathematics.
  • Skill in using common warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Skill in following written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including agency employees and vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Work involves sedentary to light work in an office setting. There is frequent need to sit, talk, or hear, use of hands and occasionally lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,268.15 - $44,315.50 per year
