Overview:
Kantishna Roadhouse (KRH) is a full-service, backcountry lodge located 90 miles into the pristine natural wonder of Denali National Park in a remote area where few are lucky enough to travel. Employees at the Roadhouse will find adventure, tranquility, and an escape from every-day modern life. The season at Kantishna Roadhouse is typically from June 1st - September 12th and KRH is seeking candidates available to stay the entire season.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the KRH Operations Manager, the Maintenance Lead is responsible for the maintenance, repair, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of Kantishna Roadhouse.
**This is a seasonal position June through September - Room and board are provided during the season at no cost for this position** Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for safety and comfort in all facilities by keeping all heating, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems in good operating condition.
- Maintenance and upkeep of the KRH automotive fleet.
- Examination of facilities to determine repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment.
- Daily monitoring and maintenance of generators.
- Daily testing and maintenance of water system.
- Weekly maintenance reports, logs, records, and all other forms that are necessary for the documentation and management of facilities maintenance to include ADEC monitoring requirements for the water system.
- In conjunction with the KRH Operations Manager, plan and implement preventative maintenance programs for facilities and equipment.
- Submit supply orders to maintain inventories of necessary maintenance and housekeeping supplies to the Property Manager on a weekly basis.
- Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:
- This position supervises others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age of 25 years.
- Three (3) years facilities maintenance to include general plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.
- One (1) year supervisory experience.
- Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate or degree in one or more trades (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry).
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The season is approximately June 1 through mid-September at the Kantishna Roadhouse in Denali National Park. The individual will be working with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
