Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Troubleshoots equipment issues to direct maintenance team members
  • Acts as liaison between company and maintenance support as needed
  • Facilitates the purchasing of needed equipment
  • Maintains KPIs related to machine downtime, data related to machine usage & metrics for predictive replacement
  • Support and initiate Continuous improvement activities
  • Maintains a current understanding of technology related to machining and metrology equipment to aid in troubleshooting & keep the organization competitive as equipment is added or replaced
  • Promotes and ensures facility safety and security
  • Generate and maintain effective documentation for processes, procedures and training purposes.
  • Sets overall maintenance department goals, processes, and/or procedures to accomplish company objectives
  • Ensures all health, safety, and regulations are followed
  • Creates a preventative maintenance schedule, as well as procedures, to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly
  • Oversees, motivates, and reviews maintenance members including training and professional development
  • Monitors and maintains departmental budgets for Maintenance department

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates or Technical Degree preferably in a technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 Years of work experience in a similar industrial or maintenance related field
  • Minimum 10 Years of Management experience in Director of Maintenance or similar role
  • Ability to manage and prioritize time effectively
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, Piping, Communications, and electrical.
  • Working knowledge of Fabrication, assembly, disassembly

Language Skills

  • Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
