Now hiring Maintenance Mechanics for a 1+ year project starting in Pueblo and likely transferring to Cripple Creek after an initial training period

Job Description:

Jobs consists of retrofitting CAT 793 D & F haul trucks with sensors and controls to make them autonomous (self driving). Job is estimated to run at least one year. Specific job duties include-

• Preparing accurate and complete service reports and turning them in on time
• Preparing inspection and appraisal reports
• Correctly charging work to appropriate work order segments
• Communicating effectively with service writer, shop coordinators, and shop managers to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on
• Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components
• Prepare, inspect, and operate machines prior to delivery
• Remove, disassemble, assemble, and install components and parts
• Determine reusability of parts in accordance with published Caterpillar reusability guidelines
• Order replacement parts ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of order
• Service and maintain equipment sold and/or owned by the company
• Test measures, and adjust engines and machine systems and components
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machine and engine malfunctions and failures
• Analyzes customer repair and maintenance requirements
• Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems
• Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired equipment
• Make recommendations as to repairs meeting warranty criteria
• Make parts replacement decisions assuring optimum economic reusability
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to read, understand, and comprehend sophisticated wiring diagrams
• Some professional mechanical experience is required. Preferably CAT experience and even more preferred is experience in a mine setting working on 777 and 793 haul trucks
• Ability to follow direct instruction as provided by Project Manager and/or lead man
• Ability to work with others with minimal distractions to teammates.

Location:

Job starts in Pueblo for a 1-3 month training, and then will most likely transfer to Cripple Creek

Pay:

$35-$45 an hour depending on experience, as well as $155 per diem a day
