Will perform machine and facility maintenance duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform facility maintenance duties. (i.e. change lighting fixtures, install light switches, painting, installing network cable runs, occasional welding, drywall repair, furniture moves, etc)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and execute diagnostics for emergency repairs with a high level of competence utilizing engineering, owner manuals, vendors, and operator input
  • Troubleshoot mechanical & electric issues with manufacturing equipment and the facility
  • Maintain necessary preventative maintenance cycles to ensure production machines are at peak performance
  • Reports any irregularities to immediate supervisor to determine if higher tier maintenance is required
  • Perform specialty programming on PLC’s as assigned.
  • Assemble/Install various manufacturing support equipment (ladders, carts, racking, conduit, etc).
  • Participate in safety and continuous improvements teams
  • Install or relocate equipment as needed

Job Requirements:

Critical Competencies

  • Must be knowledgeable and remain current with shop machine manuals and processes, regulations and guidelines
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently
  • Must be able to communicate with individuals in all levels of the company
  • Must have a thorough understanding of general and maintenance safe work practices such as LOTO, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, PPE etc
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have at least 2 years of Maintenance experience and work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

The position requires standing, lifting of up to 40 pounds frequently, climbing steps and ladders, working at heights in a scissor lift and working in a production environment. Conditions include high noise levels in some areas, temperature variations and some odor.
