As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, engineers, you will be responsible for ensuring high labor efficiency and work quality by defining job tasks, estimating duration, identifying constraints, and assigning appropriate resources. This includes defining parts and materials, crafts and skills, safety requirements, and engaging the accurate resources to develop a safe, effective, and efficient job plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Make field walk downs and determine appropriate job work scopes.
  • Develop work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment, and execution of maintenance work.
  • Define job requirements for labor hours, parts, materials, tools, craft, safety permits, and PPE to ensure a safe, effective, and efficient job plan.
  • Coordinate with inventory specialist, engineers, and technicians to ensure required parts, tools and materials are ordered and received.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports as the need arises.
  • Assist with inventory set-up and tracking
  • Expected to assist in predictive maintenance activities
  • Evaluate job feedback from technicians to constantly improve plans for future work.
Qualifications:
  • Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
  • Mechanical, machining, welding experience or knowledge in Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning.
  • Ability to read schematics, drawings and technical manuals and understand sophisticated equipment functionality.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with a CMMS (Maximo preferred).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
