Summary: The maintenance technician is responsible for equipment and building maintenance. This position requires an excellent knowledge of all equipment operations and procedures, mechanical and electrical with a high range of maintenance skills. Must be capable of running day to day activities on the production floor level, while interfacing with Department Supervisors and other Associates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining all production equipment for direct day to day activities.
  • Perform general Work Orders and PMs.
  • Maintain building integrity and understand all building subsystems.
  • Improve and maintain machine efficiencies.
  • Leadership – Able to work independently, effective oral and written communications skills. Train and lead other mechanics in troubleshooting procedures.
  • Manufacturing – Assist in identifying, prioritizing, documenting, continuous improvements and lean projects.
  • Adhere to all Housekeeping and Safety Rules

Requirements: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:

Knowledge, Skills, & Education:

  • Four-year degree or technical maintenance certificate, (maintenance experience and other certifications in lieu of degree/maintenance certificate if approved).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to use voltage, gas detection, combustion and air quality meters.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the following equipment: (this includes troubleshooting, set up, start up and adjustments): Inline & rotary fillers, motor and gearbox alignment techniques, vision systems, compressor & dryers, moisture separators, palletizers, stretchwrappers, case packers, drives, rebuild ANSI mag &/or centrifical pumps, evaporator systems
  • Must be able to move/lift cases weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand/walk up to 8 hours per shift
  • Previous Forklift Driver experience preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience, including machine operator experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills, read, write and understand English
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner.
  • Maintain equipment and perform safety checks.
  • Comply with all corporate environmental requirements.

Work Schedule:

M-F| 2nd Shift | Weekend work as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $31.00 per hour
