Job description
Manufacturing is looking for a highly motivated, self-starting individual for their maintenance department.
While working 2nd shift (2pm - 10:30pm) in Tipton, this individual will perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on the manufacturing equipment while assisting manufacturing engineering with various projects.
Essential Duties:
- Performing regular maintenance and improvements on manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshooting electrical problems
- Working and communicating with engineering on various projects
- Performing preventive maintenance assignments
- Following and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures
- Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and/or abilities:
- Familiar with various hand tools
- Welding experience
- Fabrication experience
- Ability to read CAD drawings
- Industrial voltage troubleshooting experience
- Minor electrical motor repair experience
- Ability to read a voltage meter
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers and tape measure
- Ability to perform basic mathematics and fractions
- Occasional weekend work
- Must be self directed
- Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
- Must complete Fork truck certification within 3 months
- Must complete lockout/tag out training
- Computer skills - this position interacts with mobile device/PC based computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
