Maintenance Technician - Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing
Job description
ALIGN - Tuscaloosa is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a day shift position! This shift is typically Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Troubleshoots equipment issue
- Acts as liaison between company and OEM maintenance support
- Installs and maintains machine tool equipment
- Installs and maintains utility related piping, wiring and control
- Controls maintenance owned tools, tester, etc. and keeps maintenance area clean at all times (5S!)
- Perform preventive maintenance activities and documents per required systems
- Support Continuous improvement activities
- Promotes and ensures facility safety and security
- Generate and maintain effective documentation for processes, procedures and training purposes.

Education and/or Experience
- Associates or Technical Degree preferably in a technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 Years of work experience in a similar industrial or maintenance related field
- Ability to manage and prioritize time effectively
- Ability to problem-solve advanced electrical controls i.e. Siemens 840d Multi axis drive controls, Profibus, DIN Schematic
- Ability to problem-solve advanced mechanical controls i.e. geometrical alignments, Hydraulics, Pneumatics
- Working knowledge of HVAC, Piping, Communications, and electrical.
- Fabrication, assembly, disassembly
Language Skills
- Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Computer Skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
