KP Staffing Carrollton is now hiring! We are looking for a thorough Industrial Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments by performing the following duties.

PAY & BENEFITS

• Starting pay rate for this position will be between $25-28 DOE.
• Benefits are offered when hired permanently! Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision! This position will also receive a good amount of overtime!

WORK SCHEDULE

• Normal working hours are Monday - Friday (some Saturdays)
• Shifts are usually 6 AM - 4:30 PM or 4 PM - 2 AM
• Shifts can be up to 10- 12 hours on occasion

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out and assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Sets up and operates tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Skills / Requirements

• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength
• Requires education generally equivalent to an associate's degree.
• Requires 3-5 years of experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical is a plus.
