Nationwide Housing Corporation has an immediate opening for a full-time Maintenance Technician at our apartment community located in Eagan.

Responsibilities:

• Provide all residents with exceptional customer service
• Complete all work orders in an efficient and timely manner
• Problem solve work orders and think outside the box
• Perform apartment turnover repairs and inspections
• Identify common area repairs (such as touch-up painting, beeping alarm batteries, fixture replacement, etc.) and fix quickly.
• Coordinate and direct special projects
• Order all needed materials and supplies
• Work with and communicate with onsite vendors
• Be available for emergency troubleshooting & repairs.
• Ensures the grounds and buildings are well maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years residential/apartment/commercial maintenance experience (preferred)
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric, carpentry & general maintenance.
• Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative.
• Ability to multitask/stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations.
• Ability to work effectively individually and as a team member.
• Must have knowledge of planned maintenance principles, practices and techniques
• Ability to repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
• Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems
• Valid Driver’s License (required)
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations

This position is Monday through Friday with a rotating schedule for on call emergencies.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
