Wage range $30.25 to $34.38 per hour with an additional .60 for night shift

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Makes repairs as needed.

• Industrial Electricity - AC/DC motor controls, switch gears, inverters, PLC controllers, ladder logic & programming, control circuits and devices, use of test equipment.

• Blue Print Reading - understand, comprehend, fabricate

• Pipefitting - copper, steel, plastic, galvanized

• Welding/Cutting - stick, MIG, torch, shield arc, oxy acetylene, plasma

• Shop Skills - layout, drilling & taping, lathe, milling, band saw, circular saws, small hand tools

• Instrument Use - height gauges, micrometer, calipers, sweep gauge, radius gauge, ruler/scale taper gauges...etc.

• Basic Machine Principles - threads & fasteners, tolerance & fit, materials, lubricants

• Millwright - chains, sprockets, bearings, pneumatics, press set-ups, hydraulics

• Electrician Skills - mounting hardware, installing conduit, pulling wires, making connections, layout and sizing wiring systems

• Diagnostic Skills - ability to logically find root cause of machine failures using electrical and mechanical trouble shooting techniques and efficient methods

• Interpersonal Skills - communications, employees involvement, and problem solving are a must

• Computer Skills – basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

• Knowledge of TPM - Total Productive Maintenance procedures desired

Experience

• 2 - 5 years: Experience as an industrial mechanic/electrician that provided the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to maintain and repair industrial equipment.

Education

• Technical/other training or better
