We are currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for day shift (8:00 AM 5:00 PM).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs PMs on critical equipment and facilities items on-time (per the PM schedule)
- Responds to equipment and facilities requests for repairs including:
- Per LM-2001and Maintenance database
- Plumbing
- Office equipment (e.g., furniture, shredders, etc., but does not include any IT equipment)
- Updates requests for repairs in the Maintenance database
- Completes follow-up actions in a timely manner
- Clearly identifies "down" or "limited use" equipment
- Keep internal customers informed of estimated repair time and equipment status
- Generates purchase requisitions and item masters
- Works with suppliers to repair and maintain equipment
- Maintains work areas, tools, and spare parts in a systematic, organized, and clean
- fashion
- Assists with furniture and fixture assembly as assigned
- Follows work instructions and procedures and recommends improvements
- Escalates requests for repairs as needed
- Assembles BOMs for equipment
- Serves as back up on basic facility maintenance including routine electric floor scrubber, dust/damp mopping, vacuuming, etc.
- Maintain and continuously improve competence by reading, training, and education
- Other job duties assigned
Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum AA or AS degree in Mechanical, Elector-Mechanical or Electrical engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of experience automated equipment assembly, facilities repair, line maintenance, or field service, 6-years plus preferred
- Knowledge of various facility equipment and systems required
- Ability to read, comprehends, and executes assembly or work instructions, equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and diagrams
- Fork lift and scissor lift driver certification a plus
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing (taping, lubricating, and fitting assembly), electrical, and CDA equipment maintenance and repair a plus
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs., and stand/lift/push throughout the day
This position is a contract-to-hire position and requires handling of product or information which is subject to ITAR regulations. Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. a Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
