JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician – Diesel Mechanics and Electricians Encouraged to Apply!

REPORTS TO: Regional Maintenance Manager

LOCATION: Greater Phoenix, AZ Region

POSITION SUMMARY:

Clean Freak Car Wash is looking to the fill the position of Maintenance Technician for our Greater Phoenix, AZ Region. As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing and all other car wash systems in addition to equipment installations. Additionally you will provide basic preventive maintenance training to teammates at these sites with safety being a focal point of the training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Main duties consist of traveling between car wash sites and performing maintenance and installation of equipment
• Ensure machinery is functioning at optimal levels by planning and executing preventative maintenance
• Analyze electronic and mechanical problems and complete repairs as required
• Participate in equipment upgrades and new location tunnel conversions
• Maintain company assets, including service vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Keep in contact with the supervisor, car wash manager, and store personnel on the status of repairs
• Complete company forms and reports accurately and completely including logs of daily work and store visits
• Ensures all approved safety procedures are followed
• This position will require the incumbent to be on call “utilizing a rotating schedule with the other technicians” during weekends and holidays
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Have a basic knowledge of car wash equipment, and/or possess an excellent mechanical and/or diesel mechanical background
• Must have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to perform work with minimal or no supervision or assistance
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment maintenance and OSHA regulations
• Good mechanical abilities and a good understanding of mechanical systems
• Basic level experience in plumbing, electrical, and commercial building maintenance
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong work ethic and professional attitude

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required. Certification from a Technical school a plus
• Three+ years of maintenance experience required.

For this position, an unexpired Driver’s License is required. Additionally, a motor vehicle record check “MVR” will be run on the successful candidate post-offer.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

In performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday; use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stop, crouch, and kneel. The employee must be able to work in damp and humid conditions. The employee must be able to work in outdoor variable weather conditions. The employee may have to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE). This person must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
