Job Purpose:

  • Maintenance works within guidelines as set forth by corporate policy. Assists to help aim for high guest service scores, trip advisor ranking, and guest recovery. Maintains liaison with Facilities Manager, Sales Coordinator, Maintenance Department, and Guest Services to achieve the companys objectives.
  • Position maintains duties related to the exterior and interior facilities. Follows departmental policies and procedures as established by hotel, company, and/or brand standards.
  • This position requires to assist guests efficiently and courteously in all areas and/or other assigned department related functions, while projecting high standards of service and professionalism at all times. Nurture a hotel environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and a passion for providing service. Be readily available and approachable for all team members.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks / assignments as instructed
  • Executes, maintains, and completes the preventive maintenance program as well as assigning and monitoring work orders effectively utilizing the Quore program
  • Follows and executes the preventative maintenance program outlined per BFH SOP
  • Complete assigned work orders within allotted time frame with quality results
  • Maintains grounds, trash pickup, and curb appeal
  • Monitors and maintains pool maintenance and related pool equipment assuring pool meets BOH standards
  • Respond to guest requires during shift regarding maintenance issues with guest room and/or public meeting space including electrical, plumbing, key lock systems, HVAC issues
  • Working some weekends and possible 4-10s.

Primary Functions:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks / assignments as instructed

Specific Duties and responsibilities

  • Verifies meeting room needs for the day, coordinating with Sales Coordinator
  • Maintain security of master key (s) and the approved sign-out procedure for master keys.
  • Attends daily jump start meetings
  • Proactively monitors and addresss maintenance concerns as they arise
  • Follow the Purchase Order SOP to obtain supplies and maintain expense costs
  • Monitor and maintain all equipment and logs on a monthly basis or weekly basis as needed
  • Communicate with Facilities Manager and other relevant departments regarding room availability, out of order rooms, status of work orders, scheduled maintenance projects.
  • May work with outside contractors on various services / projects
  • Comply with federal, state, and local laws to guarantee safety of guests and employees; know / observe safety precautions and emergency action plans and related equipment and report discrepancies in policy
  • Monitors boiler / chiller readings according to law or set standards
  • Be constantly alert of any security and / or safety issues and notify supervisor of any perceived threats
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area; always practice and ensure a safe work environment
  • Exhibit teamwork and cooperation by performing other duties as needed, required, asked, or directed
  • Flexible to be on call as needed
  • Monitor the quality of services performed by outside contracts in accordance with lease agreements, service contracts, and warranties coordinating with Facilities Manager
  • Be alert of any security and/or safety issues and notify Facilities Manager of any perceived threats
