Position Description: Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the MAC facility to provide a safe and clean environment for staff and visitors to the building.

This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

24 hours per week, $12.50 per hour

Essential Functions:

· General housekeeping to include: bathrooms, floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls and emptying of trash and recycle bins

· Maintaining inventory and stocking supplies

· Notify supervisor of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

· May perform light, routine maintenance around the building

· Preventative maintenance to the building to reduce the risk of future problems

· Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

· Set up and/or change meeting room layout as needs require

· Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Basic computer skills

· Good communication skills

· Good organization skills

· Excellent time-management skills

· Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

· Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds at times

Other Requirements:

· Criminal background check required prior to employment

· Valid driver’s license
