What You Will Do as a Maintenance Assistant

As a Stonerise maintenance assistant, you will perform daily duties in the Maintenance Department. You will work closely with the Administrator and/or Department Manager to assure that the center’s physical plant equipment is maintained in good working order and grounds are always kept clean and safe.

Some of your primary responsibilities include:

  • Repairing and painting patient rooms, common areas as directed
  • Assisting with minor repairs of center plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems
  • Performing floor care tasks such as, buffing, scrubbing, rinsing, and waxing
  • Changing light bulbs, washing exterior windows, sweeping walks and parking lots
  • Operating lawn and snow removal equipment; keeping exterior grounds attractive and in safe condition
  • Operating light power equipment such as, lawn tractors, push mowers, weed-eaters, floor buffers, and miscellaneous power tools
  • Assuring that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary manner

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in performing minor maintenance
