Fincastle Heights is a non-profit Mutual Ownership Corporation that is committed to providing a great work environment for all employees and great housing for all residents. We manage 248 units across 60 buildings along Fincastle Road and Belmar Drive. All residents are part owners of the Corporation as a whole and take pride in their homes. We are looking for a maintenance technician who is a skilled, self-motivated problem solver to join our team. We would need you to have experience with general maintenance.

Work Hours are from 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday thru Friday.

Tools will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Complete "Work Orders" as they come in throughout the day
• Perform general maintenance repairs on units - plumbing, electric, drywall, flooring, roofs, gutters, etc.
• Inspect vacant units to determine what repairs need to be made
• Work independently or with others as "Work Orders" require it
• Accurately report repairs throughout the day through maintenance system

Skills

• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
• Good communication with other employees, residents, and Board Members

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
• Some experience in a maintenance environment preferable
• Drivers License
