Maintenance Tech

Location: Key Royale Club, Holmes Beach, FL
Department: Clubhouse
Reports to: General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $16 per hour

Working Hours: Full time position with minimum of 40 hours per week and available during peak clubhouse hours of operation including weekend and holidays. Maybe required to work odd hours during emergency situations.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Maintenance Tech is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, service and repair of all routine and special maintenance projects for the Club facilities and related operations. He/she is also responsible for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner and performing trade duties such as; carpentry, painting, pressuring washing and to present well maintained clubhouse facilities both inside and outside for the safe enjoyment of all members, guests and team members.

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, service and repair of all routine and special maintenance projects for the Club facilities and related operations. He/she is also responsible for performing the job in a safe first and efficient manner and performing trade jobs, such as carpentry, painting, pressuring washing and to present well maintained clubhouse facilities both inside and outside for the safe enjoyment of all members, guests and team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance responsibilities
• Assist with fire safety inspections and maintenance of exit / emergency lights
• Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies on hand
• Assists with equipment repair to kitchen equipment including ice machines, refrigerated units, dish machine and other equipment
• Installation of hurricane shutters
• Move furniture, repair locks and perform minor plumbing, electrical repairs and general maintenance repairs
• Assists with regularly scheduled inspections on Club equipment and buildings.
• Pressure washing exterior facilities surfaces
• Maintain all trash and recycle containers clean
• Maintain and wash down loading dock and keep dumpsters area clean and organized
• Responsible for upkeep and change of air filters, painting of exterior and interior structures

• Assure safety standards comply with all club, local, city, state and federal guidelines
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors and vendors
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to estimate, order and price materials for work assignments
• Ability to calculate amounts of materials needed and to measure materials for installation
• Ability to lift, move, stack, store and protect tools, equipment and materials
• Ability to utilize chemical materials properly and safely
• Computer proficiency

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:

• High school diploma and / or vocational training.
• Experience in related fields of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs. Refrigeration / HVAC experience a plus.
• Organization skills to manage multiple projects
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have valid Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Requires lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds.
• The nature of this position is physical and requires long periods of time walking, standing, or stooping.
• This position works in an outside environment and all associated weather conditions.
