MANAGEMENT ANALYST - SENIOR (Water Resource Management)

The City of Surprise Water Resource Management is looking for a motivated senior analyst with strong data analytical abilities, effective verbal and written communication skills, and an understanding of governmental procurement and utility rate standards. The new team member will work with the Business Services division to manage the department’s procurement needs and to assist in updating the City of Surprise next rate study for Water, Wastewater and Stormwater rates.
SUMMARY
Incumbents perform a wide variety of complex and highly responsible professional, technical, and administrative management support functions and special projects that involve analysis, coordination, budgetary and financial activities, supervision, independent research, and recommending improved systems and procedures for an assigned Department. Responsible for assisting in the budget process and monitoring the procurement process. Depending on department assignment, may be responsible for the management, planning and implementation of specialized, complex, and/or high profile transit programs for the City.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of directly related professional experience. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
