Plains’ Information Services department, in partnership with business stakeholders, is embarking upon a multi-year effort to address legacy system risk, modernize systems, and rationalize our technology landscape
This effort has Executive visibility and aims to deliver material value creation in the form of significant risk mitigation, improved user experience, and modernization that is captured within our Enterprise Technology Plan (ETP)
The Manager, Business Relationship Management (BRM) plays a key role in delivering against this multi-year Enterprise Technology Plan (ETP) via leading a team that provides ongoing two-way senior business leadership engagement on behalf of the Information Systems (IS) Department and delivers Current State Assessments required for our ETP
Responsibilities:
The BRM team leads a key phase prior to more complex Architectural analysis and solution implementation called the Current State Assessment phase. This phase will identify and document:
- Current state processes and systems used
- Pain points / opportunities
- Key stakeholders and decision makers
- Technology agnostic recommendations (e.g. efficiency gains using existing technology)
- Benchmarking and other quantitative analysis to inform deliverables
The BRM team will:
- Engage internal IS stakeholders to solicit input into Current State Assessment deliverables
- Provide recommendations and share findings with internal IS stakeholders upon Current State Assessment completion
- Measure benefits relative to Current State Assessments post solution implementation
- Support the analysis and publication of our annual Competitor Assessment
- Accountable for the relationship link between business stakeholders and Information Services (IS) on a department level
- Building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the evolution of our IS Operating Model
- Act as a strategic interface with the business and IS for the purpose of facilitating / understanding functional business pain points, needs, and feedback to inform IS leaders of potential improvement areas and identification of areas that are receiving positive feedback
- Partner with IS Continuous Improvement and Corporate Communications teams to enable two way communication to inform stakeholders of IS wins, updates, and required changes to process
- Enable two-way communication with IS leaders to inform them of business unit updates and other changes that IS should be aware of
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Consultancy, Sales, or Account Representative experience demonstrating the ability to thrive in a business leadership facing role
- Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of strategic planning and decision making, navigating ambiguity, and building trusting relationships. High Emotional Intelligence
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
