As the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy, Constellation is a company purpose-built to meet the challenges of the climate crisis. Constellation has been the leader in clean energy production for more than a decade. The race is on to confront the climate crisis and Constellation is ready to meet the challenge.

Constellation has been the leader in carbon-free energy production for more than a decade, and generates 50% more clean, carbon-free electricity than any other company in America. We're generating power 24/7 with the nation's largest emission-free nuclear energy fleet, providing enough clean energy to power 15 million homes. Constellation offers customers a range of clean, zero-carbon energy solutions to help reduce their carbon footprint and achieve their sustainability goals.

We are committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and believe in attracting, retaining and advancing employees who will best serve and represent our customers, partners and communities. Constellation will provide you the tools and resources you need to design, build and power a successful career.

Constellation offers a wide range of benefits, designed to help our employees thrive professionally and personally. In addition to highly competitive salaries, we offer a bonus program, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase program; comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, including a robust wellness program; paid time off for vacation, holidays and sick days; and much more.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position reports to the Vice President, Investment Operations and Portfolio Construction and also provides substantial support to the Managing Director, Risk and Liability Management. The position owns data integrity and the related analysis, and is instrumental in developing data tools and analytics that the Investment Office relies heavily upon in its management of approximately $25 billion in Constellation institutional trust assets. In addition, this position will focus on supporting buildout and maintenance of reporting around investment risk and performance reporting. This person will get exposure to a variety of asset classes and asset pools (e.g., pension, nuclear decommissioning, 401(k), retiree healthcare, and foundation).

Expected salary range: $147,600.00 - $164,000.00 per year, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401k.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Own Data Integrity and Analytics
  • Oversee both source data and related data flows to other systems and reports to ensure all information is displayed consistently between reporting platforms. Create tools and processes to identify and correct stale or inaccurate information and manage the process to consistently improve upon data accuracy.
  • Develop and implement data analysis tools and procedures designed to provide actionable insights related to the approximately $25 billion in Constellation institutional trust assets.
  • Develop and participate in initiatives to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of data reporting functions across the teams. Understand industry best practices and work to implement methodology changes as needed. Assist in special projects and fulfill ad hoc requests as required.
  • Support the development of risk frameworks for the various trusts, build related reports, and maintain risk reports and tools. Ensure data integrity with risk tool(s), identify and resolve issues, and create regular risk reports for the various investment trusts. Build reports with an understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, asset class characteristics, and the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Prepare performance reporting and related attribution analysis for all investment platforms with a focus on improvements to achieve a more accurate and optimal performance reporting process. Work with the investment team and leverage tools from third party data providers to appropriately evaluate and reflect manager and trust performance.
  • Build out tools to evaluate manager compliance with investment guidelines/policies, identify cases of possible noncompliance and work with investment team to resolve.

JOB SCOPE

  • This position reports to the Vice President, Investment Operations and Portfolio Construction and also provides substantial support to the Managing Director, Risk and Liability Management.
  • Position will be deeply involved with data integrity, reporting tools, and risk reporting framework. Position will support and own aspects of the buildout, maintenance, and continuous improvement of investment reporting processes and risk management framework. This position will be focused more on optimizing connections with external service providers, rather than programming code or building a data warehouse.
  • Position will require robust analytical capabilities with the ability to work with large volumes of data, an understanding of investments and finance, strong relationship skills, and project management skills. This person should be able to analyze trends and deviations in the data and contribute those insights to investment discussions (i.e., it is more than report production).
  • Candidate will work within the framework of Constellation's business policies and procedures, including standards for internal business controls and ethics.
  • Work Arrangement: Flexible hybrid, with frequent team meetings in Chicago, IL. Position is based in Chicago.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree from an accredited four year university

  • Highly organized, motivated, self-starter capable of working independently
  • Strong team player and collaborator with impeccable ethics and integrity
