Responsibilities
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.
Our Manager of Employee Health and Infection Control collaborates with departmental leaders and external colleagues such as public health in all infection prevention related activities associated with surveillance, performance improvement, and education. Intended to ensure that the facility's patients, personnel, and visitors will be protected from transmission of diseases and infection within the facility's environment as identified in the core competency model by the Association for Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).

Job Summary:
Our Manager of Employee Health and Infection Control collaborates with departmental leaders and external colleagues such as public health in all infection prevention related activities associated with surveillance, performance improvement, and education. Intended to ensure that the facility's patients, personnel, and visitors will be protected from transmission of diseases and infection within the facility's environment as identified in the core competency model by the Association for Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
Employee Health collaborates with departmental leaders to make sure employees, volunteers, contract workers, independent contractors, physicians and students are compliant with new hire onboarding requirements such as drug screens, pre employment labs and physical, vaccinations, titres, and annual requirements are current. Collaborates with departmental leaders, staff and external partners for initiating workers compensation claims and follow up requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Current Califonnia RN License.
- Current American Health Association BLS.
- CIC Certification (required to obtain within two years from date of hire).
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC).
- Bachelor's degree in Science (i.e. microbiology, biology, nursing or public health) or five (5) years of job or industry experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in Nursing, Microbiology, Biology, Public Health or other healthcare related field.
- Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Google applications (Gmail, calendar, docs, sheets, slides), internet applications & hospital databases.
- Ability to be an active, effective team member and team leader.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication & interpersonal skills
