POSITION: Manager, Event Operations

Reporting to: VP, Business & Event Operations

Launching in February 2023, the XFL is a fan-first, fast-paced global professional football league featuring innovative rules and an enhanced 360-view game experience. Led by owners Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson, and Gerry Cardinale's RedBird Capital Partners, the XFL will bring entertainment to world-class football with the goal of advancing the game and expanding player opportunities.

About the Position

The XFL is seeking a Manager, Event Operations for each of its eight teams. The Manager, Event Operations will manage and coordinate Fan Engagement activations, team event logistics, local marketing events, assist with game day operations and department administrative needs. The individual will facilitate logistics of the fan engagement activation, sponsor activations, manage event operations inventory, as well as post-event recaps. This position will report to the teams VP, Business & Event Operations.

What you will do

  • Work directly with the VP, Business & Event Operations and manage the seasonal game day event operations coordinator.
  • Oversee and coordinate fan engagement in-game activations, assist with game day logistics, fan meet ups, viewing parties and fan tailgate activation.
  • Manage and coordinate fan entertainment elements and related vendors/providers to include pre-game, in-game, halftime, and post-game
  • Works closely with Corporate Partnerships team to help coordinate sponsorship activations both inside and outside game day venue
  • Manage inventory and team game day storage with the Football Operations Manager.
  • Manage master event calendar coordinating with all departments as needed.
  • Inventory and track event operations supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors.
  • Assist with managing game day volunteers.
  • Track new event requests, create timeline, identify staffing needs, and develop production timeline.
  • Monitor incoming event requests.
  • Communicate and coordinate necessary logistics to the DTO for events and gameday at the venue.
  • Assist with event presentation.
  • Research and obtain quotes from vendors.
  • Research new and industry trends for Fan Engagement activation.
  • Execute special projects.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring

  • Five (5) plus years of relevant event operations with an emphasis on logistics and management.
  • Ability to work well with multiple stakeholders across the company, vendors, and sponsors.
  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines and balancing multiple tasks.
  • Can handle high stressful situations with a calm approach.
  • Problem solver with little guidance.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and extremely detail oriented.
  • Proficiency in Google Doc and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, high energy, positive attitude, team player!

Additional Details

  • Work location: The location of this role must be in the market the team is located.
  • Primarily works in a remote office and/or an office environment. Must attend all team home games and may be required to attend select games and events in other XFL team markets.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required.
  • Must be able to lift 25+ pounds at times.
