MANAGER, GROWTH & RETENTION

Location: Hybrid from Winter Haven, FL office

This position is responsible for implementing sales strategies, supervising sales representatives, coordinating with design, construction and supply teams to support increasing and retaining Natural and Propane gas customers throughout the state of Florida.

What you’ll be working on…

  • Leads sales team to successful growth and profitability of the company. Assists in the development and implements strategic programs for various market segments.
  • Responsible for preparation of budget and allocation of department’s resources.
  • Support Company process and systems standardization.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales team and initiates appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Be well informed on a wide variety of gas applications for various market segments ranging from water heating, commercial and institutional cooking, space conditioning principles to other gas end-use products and economical life-cycle costing through various regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor staff involvement with developing relationships with architects, engineers, municipalities, chambers of commerce and economic development stakeholders to promote gas utilization.
  • Maintains strong business relationships with customers, manufacturing representatives, trade installers and industry colleagues.
  • Ensures the proper assignment of Standard Industrial Code (SIC) numbers to newly classified commercial accounts. Periodically reviews and verifies the appropriate rate classification of commercial accounts.
  • Manages the proper use and execution of all company administrative functions utilized in selling commercial gas service, appliances and the installation of same including gas fuel lines, service lines on mains and tank systems.
  • Maintain systems to obtain post sales feedback information from customers, daily sales activity tracking and department monthly activity reports.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Director, Sustainability and Organic Growth.

Who you are...

Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Related Experience: A minimum of four years marketing and sales experience and two years sales management experience or related work experience (preferably in natural, propane, or other utility sales).
