Coyote Logistics is seeking a forward thinking experienced Information Security Engineering Manager to join our Chicago team. Coyote is at the leading edge of information technology in the logistics field. This position is full-time and must be based in our Chicago office (but will be remote and can live anywhere in the continental United States). We seek an Information Security Engineering Manager with advanced, hands-on technical skills in designing, supporting, and assessing compliance-related controls and procedures around physical data media handling (ideally in a Data Center environment). This role will report to the Director of Security and have a 7 direct reports. There will be very light travel (5-10% max).
Note: Candidates should have a Security Management background where their primary skills are in Cloud and/or Application Security.
Essential Functions
- Design computer security technical roadmap and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
- Engineer security solutions and document standards based on requirements, best practices, and technical knowledge. Provides analysis and recommendations for the evolution and enhancement of enterprise security.
- Application security vulnerability assessments and remediation consulting
- Participate in information security strategy and planning.
- Provides guidance and requirements for the Tech organization with security related issues and to ensure the following of best practices.
- Oversees Information Security engineers for application security, data protection, endpoint security, access management, cloud security, and network security.
- Enforces information security policies and standards
- Represent Information Security on Enterprise Architecture team
- Audits, and troubleshoots hardware and software configurations. Develops and implements mitigation strategies and offer 24X7 on-call responses during security incidents or outages.
- Recommends changes in maintenance and systems standards, and trains support personnel on the conversion and implementation of the system.
- May lead projects with small to moderately sized scope and teams.
- May act as a consultant on special projects for multiple teams.
- Evaluates products and services from 3rd parties, including software and hardware vendors, development operations, and business partners.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to InfoSec engineers.
Required Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in information security
- Experience working in networking systems, endpoint security, access management, operating system hardening, and hybrid local/cloud infrastructure
- Application vulnerability assessments and vulnerability remediation;
- Incident Response planning and execution;
- Strategic thinker with technical experience in all areas of information security
- Experience establishing a cloud/hybrid cloud security strategy in Azure and/or AWS
- Experience with Agile delivery
- Experience performing 3rd party audits, reviews, and risk evaluations.
- DevSecOps experience and experience with security PaaS and IaaS
- Proficiency in Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Word)
- Excellent communications skills with ability to make the complex simple and collaborate with all levels of management
Preferred Skills & Education:
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, SANS GIAC, AWS/GCP)

Pay: $175,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year
