This position will be based at our Delfield manufacturing facility in Covington, TN*. The Delfield Company manufactures and markets a complete line of foodservice equipment for restaurants, hotels, and institutions. We produce world class products branded as Delfield, a Welbilt brand. Products include reach-in refrigeration, prep tables, undercounter/worktop refrigeration, and blast chillers/freezers. The warehouse facility provides logistics for the Welbilt/Ali Group family of brands across the globe. The facilities in Covington are a division of Ali Group.

The Manager of Logistic for Delfield will be responsible for supervision of all associated logistic transactions under lean aspects. Logistic includes production logistic as well as spare part logistic and processing. Especially in the spare part business it includes the whole value stream from order intake through to shipping. Production logistics includes incoming goods, inner logistic and outgoing goods.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leading all aspects of the designated areas, professional as well as disciplinary
  • Leading and initiate lean logistic projects
  • Ensuring a high quality seamless material supply on time in both areas
  • Lead and develop the associated staff to ensure smooth processes
  • Train and instruct staff in work safety and work conditions
  • Project work to improve processes and eliminate waste
  • Perception of administrative and subject related tasks within the area of responsibility
  • Involvement in supplier Meetings in terms of delivery terms and conditions

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Incoming goods
  • Inner logistic
  • Outgoing goods at distribution center and warehouse
  • Spares order processing

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND SOFTWARE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading logistics in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Must have strong leadership qualities, organizational skills and willingness to further education.
