VETS is seeking a Manager Business Development & Capture to join our team!
VETS is a Federal Contracting firm specializing in professional and technology services areas across the federal market. We provide professional services to the top federal government agencies and entities some of which include the Department of Defense – USMC NAVY ARMY USAF USSF, Department of Transportation - FAA, NASA, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the identification, pursuit and winning of new business development opportunities primarily focused on supporting military agencies.
- Develop opportunities by making initial presentation; explain services and solution offerings; provide relevant past performance examples to audience.
- Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying opportunities; scheduling meetings with decision makers inside of the agency
- Participates in marketing and presentation materials.
- Monitor SAM.GOV and other government agency procurement sites for potential opportunities and updates to include budgeting, sourcing and capturing analysis.
- Participate in the development of sources sought responses.
- Develop and deliver Gate Review (Bid/No-Bid) presentations on new business opportunities for the leadership team during weekly meetings.
- Develop Cost/Price templates and models with the F&A/Price to Win team.
- Provide analysis of RFPs their revisions and amendments along with strategy recommendations for continuing pursuit.
- As directed by the SVP of Business Development, provide business/proposal development support to the leadership teams and project teams as required.
- Develop input for Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- The Director of Business Development will travel as required to contract sites, partner offices, and on other company business as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years of full time relevant Federal Agency experience.
- Experience technical writing and editing.
- Military experience is a definite plus.
- Knowledge of and existing relationships in one or more of the military services or FAA.
- Proven results and tangible participation in the delivery of new business wins. Strong research, analysis and presentation delivery skills.
- Knowledge of the Federal Government acquisition timeline and experience with the application of a structured BD/Capture methodology to align with the timeline.
- Adept at establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships.
- High energy, goal oriented, striving for excellence. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives at one time.
- Pricing/price analysis/understanding experience is desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of a professional services organization, Government contracting, and federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.).
- Expert computer skills with advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software.
Education:
BA/BS degree required (5 years of experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelors).
