  • Previous CRM experience.

We are currently seeking a Manager, Industrial Safety Channels for the Industrial Safety channel. This position will execute on marketing efforts for safety products related to the Industrial channel to both distributors and end-users. Taking direction from the Director of Marketing – Industrial, this person will collaborate with the Sales, Product Management and Marketing teams by leveraging an in-depth knowledge of channel product offerings to conceptualize and implement segmented marketing initiatives that reach end-users and drive conversion through our channels. They will also be responsible for curating, driving, executing, and tracking marketing activity for all of our brands aimed at distributors.


Another key area of responsibility for the Manager, Industrial Safety Channels pertains to the implementation and execution of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) to expand engagement within Strategic Accounts. This person will drive alignment between Product Management, Sales and assigned customers to grow sales in assigned product lines and channels. This person will perform research on target accounts to discover new opportunities then work with Strategic Account Managers to develop or enrich cooperative marketing programs. Using marketing knowledge, content building and digital skills, this person will invest time in high-value accounts building trusting relationships with Customer Marketing and Product Line Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 4 Channel Managers (serves leading role) in developing the marketing plan for assigned Industrial channels within the organization to drive sales and margin growth.
  • Collaborates with the Sales and Marketing Communication teams to create strategic, segmented campaigns that expand market share and enable aggressive growth in target markets
  • Coordinates with the Product Development, Sales and Marketing Communication teams on innovative product design needs, promotional opportunities and launch collateral
  • Participates in the development of key channel sales tools and collateral including catalogs, sell sheets and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Actively engages with all aspects of the business to gather product and channel insights then disseminates information to relevant internal departments.
  • Understands the dynamics for each subchannel related to pricing and competitor activities while keeping abreast of market size, trends and key players.
  • Participates in the development of impactful sales presentations and training to support the delivery of successful customer programs.
  • Plans national and distributor-specific tradeshow efforts related to the Industrial channel.
  • Works closely within the Marketing team and collaborates with Product Management and Sales teams on brand development and experiential activities for key channel product offerings.
  • Regularly utilizes market data and insights to provide recommendations to expand distribution, grow market share and unveil growth opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Strategic Account Managers on annual strategic planning and high-profile customer meetings.
  • Develops and executes customer-specific marketing plans including distributor-specific marketing campaigns, customer events, website updates and enrichment as well as custom training to improve our presence.
  • Coordinates development of all marketing assets for distributor and end-user channel campaigns as well as channel-specific paid advertising campaigns
  • Coordinates with Merchandising for customers with Showcase needs
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.


Experience and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field
  • A minimum of five years of experience working in a lead marketing role.
  • Experience managing small teams of people as well as influencing senior staff.
  • Industrial products experience and understanding of the Industrial channel – other industries (food services, pharma, travel/leisure) will not be considered.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail with impeccable organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand product specs and translate into impactful marketing content.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and be deadline oriented.
  • Proven track record of managing and completing multiple projects simultaneously on time and on budget.
  • Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders with and without direct authority
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM, MAS and LMS systems as well as social media platforms
