THE OPPORTUNITY
A project manager responsible for planning, development, and implementation of clear, quality program communications to increase overall participation and deliver key information to participants and Award winners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Communications
-
Create relevant, compelling messaging to 150,000+ constituents, including marketing initiatives, program announcements, and event invitations.

Maintain digital subscription lists of engaged, passive, and suppressed emails in Campaign Monitor and proprietary database.

Develop a deep understanding of the Awards’ audience (teens, parents, and educators).

Drive strategic outreach and marketing with collaboration between programs, design, and development teams to increase overall awareness of the Awards and increase participation of students in underrepresented communities.

Identify metrics to measure the effectiveness of marking and outreach initiatives; apply findings to improve communications and deepen engagement with program participants.
Merchandise Distribution

Manage mailing lists and vendor relations to implement large-scale mailings of posters, letters, catalogs, books, certificates, medals and other items to students, educators, and program partners.

Manage Awards merchandise, including inventory and fulfilment of signature Gold Key pins and national medals.
Customer Service & Program Support

Supervise one to two Programs Assistant and provide oversight for customer service.

Identify trends or communication gaps within customer service and integrate needs into program communications.

Manage all asset collection from National Award winners for Nation Ceremony, interfacing directly with the ceremony production team at Scholastic, Inc.

Provide additional support as needed for awards selection, national celebration, and other duties.
