Jewish Community Services (JCS) provides programs and services for people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them achieve their goals, enhance their wellbeing, and maximize their independence.

Jewish Community Services (JCS) is seeking a full-time (37.5 hrs./wk.) Part Remote) Manager of Resource and Grant Development to provide direct assistance to the Executive Director in researching, securing and managing various grant opportunities and similar sources of funding. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to improve the quality of life of our clients and be committed to the JCS mission, while successfully completing their responsibilities.

Manager of Resource and Grant Development directly helps the JCS mission by:

Researching and identifying new sources of funding and finding streams such as donors, organizations, grants, etc.
Working closely with interdepartmental teams to create plans and records of income streams to successfully manage distribution and use.
Collecting data and compiling detailed analyses for reporting back to funding stream sources for purposes of auditing and record keeping.
Drafting Requests for Proposals and distributing information to grant funders. Evaluating response results and modifying standard procedures as needed.
Utilizing third party and proprietary record systems to securely maintain grant and funding stream data.

Working closely with interdepartmental staff to assist and guide in completion of projects and ensures deliverables are up to standard.
Compiling collected data to provide executive leadership with overall status of resource development efforts in an effective way via remote or in-person presentations.
Preparing and delivering reports on funding stream prospects and current funders. Providing analytically based suggestions to address any issue.
Building and maintaining close professional relations with a diverse sample of internal staff, associates, clients and funders.
Drafting letters, electronic mail and other types of communication to build and maintain successful relationships with funders and donors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 5-7 years of experience.
Master’s Degree in a related field preferred but not mandatory.
Experience with MS 365 Suite and apps such as Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint is required.
Independent worker.

Ability to work and contribute as a part of a diverse team.
High proficiency with written and spoken English language.
