Summary:
The Manager-Pre-Access assists with the oversight and leadership of the combined scheduling, pre-registration, authorization, notice of admission and insurance verification teams within the assigned area. The manager is responsible for the coaching and development of the assigned teams and implementing short and long-term plans and objectives to improve customer service, the collection of quality information, revenue by decreasing no authorization denials, patient and provider satisfaction, and meeting other revenue cycle and organizational goals.

Qualifications:
Education

Associate's degree in accounting, business management, business administration, HIM or related field is required.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, business administration, HIM or related field is preferred.

3 years of patient access, registration, and/or customer service experience or progressively more responsible leadership experience or equivalent may be considered in lieu of an associate's degree.

Experience

3 years patient access, registration or customer service experience is required.

3 years progressively more responsible leadership experience or equivalent is required.

This experience level is required in addition to the experience required in lieu of education if a colleague does not meet the position's degree requirement.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Certification in Patient Account Management from American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) is preferred.

Certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) is preferred.
