Job Summary

Lead the project controls activities for a team of project controls professionals focused on the development of the project plan and translating the project plan into the project estimate/schedule for natural gas midstream construction projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop project controls processes to maximize efficiency and ensure that required project planning/scheduling controls are appropriately implemented and maintained
  • Develop systems to allow for schedule and cost reporting to be transparent and easily found throughout the organization
  • Develops and records project historical schedule information and lessons learned for benchmarking purposes.
  • Provide support in the management of project schedule functions including scheduling, change management, tracking progress, and forecasting
  • Identify and communicate project schedule risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Prepare project scorecard presentations, highlighting in-service dates, risks, and changes
  • Develop custom projects reports as needed to facilitate project discussions
  • Oversight of schedule template development and maintenance in Microsoft Project

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant study (Engineer, Project Management, Construction Management preferred)
  • Three years or more of relevant Planning & Scheduling experience
  • Possess & maintain a valid driver’s license, submit to background check & pre-employment drug screening
  • Experience setting up and monitoring complex project schedules
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

Other Qualifications

  • Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Basic experience and understanding of estimating and benchmarking.
  • Good interpersonal and collaborating skills.
  • Good organization and prioritization skills to execute work accurately and largely self-directed, handle multiple priorities, and analyze reports and trend activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in midstream project estimation
  • Experience in working with capital budgets.
  • PMP certification

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works both in a business office setting and at a project site. While working at a project site, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including cold/hot, wet and/or humid conditions, uneven or steep terrain and may work near moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration (see physical requirements above). The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office but, may become loud at the project site.
