As a Central Sterile Manager you must be detail oriented, flexible, able to juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat, adept with technical skills, a team player, and must have excellent communication skills. You must also be able to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment. There are many surgical sub-specialties for learning, including neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, trauma, pediatrics, oncology, general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, ear/nose/throat, dental, orthopedics, plastic and reconstructive, and transplant surgery.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management of both Central Processing and Sterile Processing Departments.
- Accountability for staffing, productivity, supply and instrument management, while matching current policies and practice with regulatory guidelines
- Under the guidance and direction of the Surgery Manager and Director, provides nursing leadership for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care and safety in surgery service line.
- Manages team directly, including responsibility to complete evaluations, provide accountability utilizing employee rounding, disciplinary process and recognition. Manages representative relationships.
- Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Assures quality care through the initiation and evaluation of patient care utilizing performance improvement process.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in healthcare, business, or other related field.
Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician required or must achieve within one year of hire.
Five years experience in either Surgery, Sterile and Central Processing, or other related field.
Minimum 2 years of management experience .
