As a manager of supplier diversity, you’ll develop business strategies to ensure a diverse supplier base for the procurement of goods and services at Progressive. You’ll establish policy and program guidelines (and goals) as well as support and advise all Procurement teams and business leaders, for inclusion of diverse suppliers in RFPs and sourcing decisions. As a manager of supplier diversity, you’ll also provide leadership in the areas of system design for purposes of supplier spend reporting, community outreach to develop rapport with diverse suppliers, and internal outreach necessary to inform, educate, and garner stakeholder support for the Program. Finally, you’ll manage a staff of 2 Supplier Diversity Specialists, focusing on employment decisions, performance management, compensation and reward planning, employee development, and mentoring with a company-wide span of control.

Must-have qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Sustainability or Supplier Diversity.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Sustainability or Supplier Diversity; including 5 years minimum of relevant work experience in building and leading supplier diversity programs.

Preferred skills

• Expert level supplier diversity knowledge
• Competency with procurement systems and processes.
• Demonstrated experience in providing strategy and thought leadership within areas of Procurement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and ESG
• Knowledge of legal, financial and technology components of Strategic Sourcing
• Experience building successful relationships with business partners, cross- functional groups, and suppliers to drive accountability and optimize performance
• Experience in driving change and establishing processes

Compensation

• $94,600 - $135,100/year
• Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
