Position Overview
The Tax Curriculum Manager at Becker, one of Colibri Group's brands, is responsible for planning content development and content updates on a 12-month rolling calendar for our current CPE products and new CPE product initiatives. This individual is expected to bring technical expertise and knowledge of the tax profession to provide best-in-class learning and continuing education to accounting professionals. They are also responsible for supervising a team of Curriculum Sr. Specialists and works collaboratively with leadership, faculty, production, operations, marketing and sales.
Position Requirements & Major Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage curriculum development and curriculum updates on a 12-month rolling calendar for current Becker product offerings
  • Plan and manage the development of curriculum for new product initiatives
  • Supervise and coach a team of Sr. Specialists
  • Work with the Becker faculty manager to identify qualified instructors for content delivery
  • Participate in the development of the product innovation strategy for Becker’s products
  • Manage curriculum improvement projects based on updates to tax laws and changes to the curriculum requirements and learning standards
  • Regularly review content for alignment to curriculum standards
  • Manage initiatives to streamline and expedite the creation and presentation of course content
  • Collaborate and support other teams, including faculty, production, marketing and sales, to deliver curriculum to market and respond to curriculum questions
  • Work in rapid product growth business and contribute to thought leadership on new accounting curriculum solutions
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and CPA, CMA or similar credential required
  • 5+ years’ experience in the accounting profession, including experience teaching accounting and experience writing and editing accounting curriculum
  • Ability to lead a team and coach individuals
  • Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues, build effective working relationships throughout the organization, and work with remote and dispersed teams
  • Must be an action-oriented self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced, performance-based organization
  • Strong analytical, multitasking, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to consult with others by listening effectively and asking clarifying questions
  • Excellent communication skills
