About the Role

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team. You will lead an exciting and growing part of our supply chain, managing 3PL transportation and warehousing for our direct to market product. You will have daily contact with producers, buyers, carriers, 3PL warehouses, wholesalers and stores. As part of an ongoing network design initiative, you can help shape our future domestic supply chain. You will report to the Director of Supply Chain. This position is located in our office in Bethesda, MD.

You will

• Manage a team of logistic professionals to facilitate the flow of goods through the supply chain
• Negotiate best cost/service for logistics needs
• Manage carrier relationships and performance
• Manage deliveries and provide excellent customer service.
• Provide excellent customer service to our stores
• Work with multiple departments on initiatives and new projects
• Publish metrics concerning KPIs
• Investigate and reconcile OS&D and make recommendations on opportunities for continuous improvement.

You will come with

• A Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in logistics operations over multiple modes (Rail, Truck, LTL)
• Experience leading a team in an office environment
• Excel skills (can perform complex functions)
