Manufacturing Engineer - Grind

As the Grind Manufacturing Engineer, you will be supporting and developing the grind processes in the East Aurora Machine Shop. You are expected to be proficient in your knowledge of the relevant grind applications required to manufacture Moog Aircraft Flight Controls.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

· Supporting the fabrication of complex machined parts and sub-assemblies by providing timely and accurate N/C programs and operation sheets.

· Assuring the compatibility of engineering drawings and specifications with manufacturing and fabrication capabilities by reviewing drawings and making suggestions for changes and revisions to enhance producibility.

· Coordinating with various departments and team members to assure the most effective design and use of manufacturing facilities and processes.

· Establishing standard times for setup and run of each operation on assigned parts.

· Originating and conducting studies directed towards more efficient manufacturing of parts. This includes recommendations for changes in equipment, processes, methods, materials, and designs.

· Establishing tooling, gaging, and fixture concepts. Reviewing and approving tool, gaging, and fixture design drawings. Estimating hours required to design and also fabricate tools and fixtures.

· Technically direct, guide, or train Manufacturing Engineering Technicians and Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technicians.

Here's what you'll need to be considered for this exciting opportunity:

· B.S. degree (ME or IE preferred) and a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Additional seasoned experience in manufacturing engineering that would be equivalent to what is learned in a degree program would be an acceptable alternative to the B. S. degree requirement.

· Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer implementing and supporting the relevant grind applications or directly related experience that demonstrates the required technical ability is required. The relevant applications include Cylindrical, Centerless, ID, Jig, Surface and Creep Feed grinding.

· This job requires access to US export-controlled information.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,923.30 - $95,609.65 per year
