Primary Responsibilities:

Provide value to the company by providing solutions relative to production, testing and quality initiatives, which include continuous improvement initiatives, by being responsive and helping others succeed through sharing information, doing root cause analysis' and coaching end-users on best practices, and by remaining mindful of production schedules in an effort to prioritize day-to-day functions within the Engineering Department.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Leads projects related to production assembly processes of Wire Harness Assembly or Control Panel Assembly.
  • Design and coordinate testing programs, fixtures adapters and procedures for product testing in Wire Harness Assembly, or Control Panel Assembly.
  • Create process documents, methods, instructions and other reference materials as needed, utilizing various software tools to guide production assembly builds.
  • Interpret technical data in the form of standards, processes and customer product specifications.
  • Utilize data repository of standards for manufacturing processes and complete general analysis of this data in support of company initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot issues and concerns on the production floor utilizing root cause analysis, assimilate information quickly and provide viable solutions, investigate potential impact and execute corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate daily tasks with other engineering technical resources/support.
  • Contribute to other engineering responsibilities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Minimum Education Requirements
    • 4-year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Ability to interpret and update engineering product defining drawings, Wire Harness assemblies & components, Panel assemblies & components.
  • Able to assess production needs for Wire Harness assembly & testing, Panel testing, Control Box testing, troubleshooting and repairing prior to, or as part of, Quality Inspections.
  • CAD software: AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken Harness Builder
  • Exposure to or basic understanding of CNC programming
  • Understanding of ASME documentation standards
  • Able to develop accurate work instructions and test procedures based upon industry standards and guidelines
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical aptitude required to support Wire Harness assembly or Control Panel builds
  • Ability to provide hands-on production support with knowledge of appropriate processes for routing and installation of Wire Harnesses and the build of test equipment and product assembly which include electronic and mechanical components
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Must have strong communication skills with a positive attitude and customer appreciation mentality
