The Manufacturing Manager is responsible to plan, direct and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing and shipping products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. Supervising manufacturing and facilities/maintenance.

Include the following duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure that products are produced efficiently, that they are of the right quality, quantity and cost. Also, that they are produced on time and to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Evaluate the processes within the areas assigned to him/her and ensure that they are the most effective and efficient.
• Lead the supervisors within operations and maintenance.
• Ensure that all employees are working safely and following all safety rules.
• Ensure compliance and certification with AS9100 Standards
• Propose the annual budget and seek efficiency improvements to generate cost saving opportunities.
• Monitoring the production processes and ensuring that they are adequate to meet the production schedule.
• Ensure that the employee level is at the appropriate level to meet the production schedule.
• Make recommendations to the Executive Team for Capital Expenditures within the areas.
• Estimate future capacity.
• Develop and implement short-and long-term manufacturing strategies.

• A proven history of leading and implementing effective and efficient manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years experience in a leadership role in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to make specific, measurable, productivity improvements.
• Be a hands-on manager – willing to learn and become expert in the details of the processes.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate others in process improvement.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in varied situations.
• Experienced in working with labor intensive, custom manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to explain concepts of Lean Manufacturing.
• High energy and enthusiasm.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Aluminum, paint, anodize, hydraulic presses, draw tooling a welding a plus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and depreciation.
