We are looking for team members who come to the table with a shared passion for* making food the world loves*. As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for the operation of processing and packaging equipment, performing changeovers and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
**
*Pay Rate:*

  • $20.55 per hour to start
  • $23.30 per hour after a successful 6-month probationary period
  • Pay for Skill pay rate increases up to $32.80 per hour

**
*Schedule:*

  • 12-hour shifts with 3-2-2 schedule
  • 6:00 am to 6:07 pm (day shift)
  • 6:00 pm to 6:07 am (night shift)
  • Shift rotation every 8 weeks (day to night or night to days)
  • Scheduled Work Pattern
  • On-off pattern is 3 days on shift followed by 2 days off shift, 2 days on shift
  • Cycle length is 2 weeks
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Plant operation is 24 hours per day, 7 days per week

Your seat at the table *will include*:* (Main Responsibilities)*

  • Following all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Following standard operating procedures to operate various pieces of high speed and/or high-tech processing and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshooting problems with machinery to resolve issues
  • Calibrating processing and packaging systems daily to meet required specifications
  • Participating in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment
  • Performing changeovers and End of Run cleans including disassembly and reassembly of necessary equipment
  • Responsibility for executing all required HACCP/Quality processes and documentation
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems in equipment operation
  • Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Removing and replacing motors, starters, belts, bearings, chains, and other manufacturing parts
  • Operating forklift equipment safely to move materials and products throughout the plant
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Assisting in training new employees
  • Attending meetings and training as required
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned
  • Leading with and championing human and food safety

Your recipe for success m*ust include:** (Minimum Qualifications)*

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have the ongoing right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Must have high School Diploma or GED
  • Be willing to obtain a forklift license
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to lift, move, push, pull 50 lbs as required by the position
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
  • Willing and able to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends, daily overtime or overtime outside of your regular scheduled hours as required (more than 40 hours per week)
  • Ability to work flexible workdays and hours depending on the season
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
  • Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment

**
*Preferred Qualifications:*

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical or electrical capability/experience
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
