Formula Boats South is looking for an experienced Marine and/or Automotive Painters Assistant to join our fast-growing Formula Authorized Service Center, located in Naples, Florida. We are seeking a team member to join our group who is highly driven, self-motivated and detail oriented. The person to fill this position must have at least 1 year of verifiable experience in one or more of the following areas (MOST IMPORTANT - must include experience with preparation and finishing work):
PAINT REPAIRS (AUTOMOTIVE AND/OR MARINE)
- Repair, prime & block
REFINISHING (AUTOMOTIVE AND/OR MARINE)
- Sand, seal, mask & prep for color
GEL-COAT REPAIRS
- Repair, prime & block
- Respray gel, sand & buff complete
FIBERGLASS REPAIRS
- Repair, prime & block
- Respray gel, sand & buff complete
PREPARATION & FINISHING WORK
- Prep: Sand & mask
- Finishing: Wet sand & buff
Additional Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Pressure wash vessels as needed prior to and following repairs
- Assist with blocking/unblocking vessels prior to and following repairs
- Perform duties within approved time frame and communicate expected delays with service manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and service units
- Complete designated work in a timely, competent and professional manner
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Verifiable experience in one or more of the above noted areas
- Must be reliable, have excellent communication skills, able to take direction and solve problems
